In addition, the digestive system is responsible for the absorption of nutrients, lymphatic function, the immune system, and elimination, so when any of these functions are off, your whole system will feel out of whack.
I once had a teenage client who only wanted to take a long bath after school. It was her way of decompressing, removing the energy of the day, and her way of reconnecting to her self. All she wanted was water and quiet. Through our work my client realized that she was an empath, and that her Solar Plexus chakra was overloaded.

The joints are part of your support system, your base, your stability. In turn, an imbalance can be the result of a root chakra issue, the first chakra, or energy center in your body. This chakra is located at the base of the spine and it can become imbalanced during times of change, stress, transition, or when fears are heightened. This imbalance can present with adrenal or kidney issues, weight gain, immune system issues, back pain, and joint issues.

When your adrenal glands are imbalanced it is difficult to shut your brain off, your stress will seem inordinately high, and colds, infections and flus can occur more often. Most people who come into my practice are dealing with some level of adrenal fatigue where their cortisol (the hormone that the adrenal glands puts out) is irregular and is causing ebbs and flows in their energy level.
