Spring has sprung!

The spring equinox happened on March 20th making this time a perfect opportunity to harness the transformative energy of new life and new growth. It also pairs perfectly with the solar plexus chakra. It is located near the navel and governs our personal power and the strength to create and face change. When the solar plexus chakra is balanced, you feel self-confident, comfortable, and harmonious.

Here are 5 tools to increase energy and balance your solar plexus chakra.

1. Herbal Tea

Try swapping out your daily coffee for a mug of matcha, green tea, or rooibos tea. Each of these is high in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and energy-boosting properties. Matcha tea is particularly powerful as just one cup has as many antioxidants as 10 cups of green tea. Another great option is the Achieve tea blend by Positivitea. It contains yerba mate, lemongrass, and ginger which can boost energy levels and aid in digestion.

2. Aromatherapy

The solar plexus element is fire, so it’s no surprise that it is associated with all things warm and citrusy. A few scents I suggest are ginger, cinnamon, clove, orange, and lemon. You can use these types of scents for aromatherapy in your home with essential oils, candles, or even simmering a pot of herbs and spices on the stovetop. Check out the Energy essential oil blend or this Spanish Gardenia Petal Topped Candle for a blend ready-made for you.

3. Yoga

Yoga has a myriad of health and wellness benefits. For the solar plexus chakra in particular, do a series of sun salutations in the morning to warm up the body and engage your core. This is ideal because the solar plexus chakra is located in the stomach area. Plank and boat pose are also great for your core, and Warrior I and II will help you dial in to your strength and ignite your personal power.

4. Outdoors

The solar plexus color is yellow and, as I mentioned before, the element is fire. Getting outside in the sunshine is perfect for this. Revel in the warming weather of spring. In fact, just being outside is a natural way to boost energy and elevate mood. For days when you can’t spend much time outside, try yellow-tinted Solar Plexus Glasses to give the world a warm, bright glow.

5. Goal Setting

Spring is a season of new beginnings which makes it a great opportunity to set a couple new personal or professional goals. Goal setting is an exciting and energizing process as you dream about what you can accomplish. Plus, your renewed sense of power will help you make a plan of action to see your aspirations through to completion.

Welcome the season of spring with these tools to increase energy and balance the solar plexus chakra. It is an ideal opportunity to combat insecurities or a lack of focus by intentionally reenergizing and getting in touch with your personal strength. Remember that you are more than enough and live confidently in that power.
