3 EASY DETOX TIPS FOR A HEALTHY NEW YEAR
This year was one for the books! There was so much going on in the country and the world that many of our clients found solace in connecting with their own inner world as well as with other like-minded love warriors. We had clients from all walks open up to new healing techniques, we held amazing events to bring our community together, we announced the launch of our brand new foundation, Mindful Health Gives, which, with your help, will give us the chance to gift women who've been affected by cancer free retreats, workshops and wellness education. This year has had it's ups and downs, but at Mindful Health, we know how to turn lemons into detox lemonade :)
In the coming year, we're gearing up to offer even more healing to our amazing community. So, it's incredibly important that we start the year off with a fresh, clean slate. No pressure, just good-for-you, nourishing, soul filling wellness. To that end, we've put together a few easy detox tips to help you jump on board with our "out-with-the-old-in-with-the new" tradition.
1. TEST YOUR CHAKRAS
If you've been to our office or follow us on social, you'll know everything we offer at Mindful Health has a connection to the 7 Chakras. You may be wondering why we've resurrected this ancient technique for our very modern wellness clients. But the chakras are non physical points of energy within the body where the spirit and physical worlds meet.
There are seven major energy centers or chakras with five aligned vertically along the spine and two residing in the head area. Each of these major chakras uniquely influence various physical and spiritual aspects of our lives. When all 7 areas are in balance, you’ll naturally release toxic behaviors and old emotions that no longer serve you. So, the start of the new year is the perfect time to assess the first chakra you'd like to work on for 2018. You can use our handy chakra assessment to do so. Once you figure out which chakra needs some loving, we've got a product, service, retreat or event that will support it.
2. TAKE A SALTY DETOX BATH
We are obsessed with baths. Especially sea salt baths. Couple high quality sea salt with essential oils like citrus and lavender and this easy, luxurious nighttime ritual can help alleviate stress, massively reduce any fluid retention, lower joint pain and provide added mineral support to help the body to let go of toxins in the tissues.
Salt baths are also great for salt cravings, and they provide a great balance of sodium and other minerals that you may be lacking. So grab some salt and try to do one a week. If you feel like your immune system needs extra support, do a few more. If the holidays frazzled you a bit and you're feeling stressed, double up on the lavender essential oil as this helps to balance out the adrenals, which adds the bonus of balancing the root chakra and the third eye chakra.
