Nicole Glassman is a holistic nutritionist, blogger, public speaker, retreat facilitator, founder of Mindful Health and the creator of the Mindful Mosaic® Program. She has hosted numerous workshops and retreats that empower people to live with passion and purpose. She is currently working on her first book. She completed her Masters in Food Studies at New York University, Holistic Health Counseling Certificate at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, and was one of the first practitioners to complete Dr. D’Adamo’s Blood Type Certification course. Her philosophy towards health stems from her own life changing struggles with stress and troubled digestion. Nicole has spent years devouring books, taking classes and learning everything that she possibly can so that she can help others. She also completed a certification course to practice Electrodermal Screening because it was pivotal for her own healing. This test can help to uncover many health ailments including food sensitivities, which was key for herown recovery. Nicole has taken countless seminars on various health topics through Certified Natural Health Practitioners.
What do I do best?
My work strength is helping my clients to see their physical and emotional body as one. I do this through a program I created called Mindful Mosaic, where we look at the body through the lens of the chakra system and make this accessible for every day life. I went through my own health issues and as a result, I saw a need not only for this bridge of the emotional and physical perspective in health care, but also in the need for community and connection. I provide this for others through my chakra workshops and retreats, and through holding space for my clients every day. But my personal strength is perseverance. When I am committed to or passionate about something, I find it hard to give up, even when the circumstances seem insurmountable. There is a place in my heart that always knows the lesson will be important somehow, and that there will be a light at the end of the journey.
What makes me the best version of myself?
When I take care of myself and I lovingly speak my truth I am the best version of myself. For years I used to swallow my needs, and what was in my heart for fear of confrontation or rejection. But in the end I was constantly drained. It was impossible to truly care for myself because I had so few boundaries and so many people pulling on me or taking advantage of my “kindness.” I never felt like the best version of myself because inside I was resentful of all of life’s demands. The irony, was that I didn’t see that they were self- imposed because of my own vow of silence. So today I am the best version of myself when I am doing what I love-yoga, being in nature, being close to the water, spending time with the people I love, and having space to breathe in life by expressing my authentic needs.
What are my aspirations?
I live in New York City but I dream of having a farm one day with rescued animals, especially horses. I would absolutely love to use that farm in a healing capacity in my work because animals can touch the spirit in such a unique way. I am also in the process of starting a non-profit for caregivers, and people with cancer where I will run free retreats to inspire their healing journey. I hope to run one per month as an offshoot of my Mindful Mosaic retreats to really be able to give people the tools they need to thrive.
