Hey friends, Its Lauren from Hint of Greens back to share with you one of my favorite smoothies from the cleanse. I had such a great time creating smoothies for breakfast and smoothie bowls for dinner!
Lets talk a little about that. The idea of drinking a smoothies in the morning is a nice and easy way to start the day, you can enjoy it on the go when running out the door or while sitting doing work. When it came to dinner, though, I felt the need to chew my food. So I decided the best option of me was to pour my evening smoothies into a bowl and add some approved toppings (fruits and seeds).
Dinner to me is a time to sit down, relax and unwind for the day so I really enjoyed having a smoothie that felt more decadent, there is something to be said about eating your meal as opposed to drinking it.
I am going to share with you my Strawberry Spinach and Banana Smoothie Bowl!
Strawberry Spinach and Banana Smoothie Bowl
1/2 bananan (frozen)
1 cup strawberries
1 cup spinach
1 cleanse packet
1/2 cup almond milk
5 ice cubes
strawberries / banana / chia seeds / hemp seeds / bee pollen / pomegranate seeds
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Pour smoothie into a bowl and top with optional ingredients or any others you may enjoy.
Part of the fun is decorating your bowl, it gives you time to play and be creative. We don't always get a chance to play with our food or feel creative so be sure to take the time to enjoy the practice of creating your own food.
